The Gospel Crew was founded in 1990 by George Kufa. Trained as a Journalist/Broadcaster George has worked in various newspapers and media organisations in different countries. Fellow Journalists have noted him not only as their colleage in media but as a gifted musician. They often call him Journalist turned musician.
George is well known in the circles of Christian music and he is the main man behind The Gospel Crew, GK Promotions and GK Ministries. The humble musician has done some considerable work in Gospel/Christian music. George started singing and playing musical instruments at the tender age of 10 years. In the year 2000, he recorded his first Album in Zimbabwe, Ndinoda kufamba nemi, (I want to walk with you). The message in the album was clear, if you live with Christ, you will never be lonely, God is the only true Shepherd. In 2003, he recorded his second album at Bonafide Studio in London, Jesu Makandinakira (Jesus is Good to me). This album features some of the finest African musicians abroad. George has assisted many people to record their music. Among them is his wife Grace who recorded her first six track album in August 2006 - Tariro (Hope). He is currently giving final touches to his third album. The Gospel Crew travel extensively singing and ministering the word of God. They do an annual musical show called PRAISE where they invite other Christian musicians to come and minister to people. Their music is available on TAPES, CDs, VIDEOS and DVDs. The Gospel Crew operates under GK Promotions.
